Growing up in rural northwest Missouri, MICHAEL KLATASKE moved to Delaware, where he and several friends founded Delaware Pride, and the annual Delaware Pride Festival. The feminine illusion of JADE SINCLAIR was created on a Delaware Pride fundraising "WHIM", and the character continued for many years. MICHAEL's admiration of the MISS GAY AMERICA PAGEANTRY system sparked from first watching MISS GAY DELAWARE & later MISS GAY MARYLAND. His passion strengthened as he moved to St. Louis and began to follow the MISS GAY MISSOURI PAGEANT. On his first participation at MISS GAY MISSOURI, he was the recipient of the DEBUT AWARD 2004, and finished as the second alternate. On his fourth attempt, Jade was crowned MISS GAY MISSOURI AMERICA 2007 at the Millennium Hotel in ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI. As MISS GAY MISSOURI 2007, JADE'S excellent administrative skills & concern for all contestants lead her to be known as "THE CONTESTANTS MISS GAY MISSOURI " At MGA, JADE has won the "Michael Andrews" MISS PHOTOGENIC AWARD and finished in 7th place overall, winning talent in her group. JADE continued to compete in the MISS GAY AMERICA PAGEANT system, and captured the title of MISS GAY HEART of AMERICA 2008, MISS GAY MIDWEST 2009, MISS TRI STATES 2010 and MISS GAY KANSAS 2013. MICHAEL maintains his passion for the MISS GAY MISSOURI PAGEANTRY system. Jade Sinclair became Miss Illinois Continental Elite in 2016 and finished in the Top 6 at Miss Continental Elite that year. On the same year, she captured the Missouri Continental and Missouri Continental Elite titles. Jade placed in the Top 10 of Continental Elite 2017. He currently promotes the storied MISS GAY ST. LOUIS PAGEANT and the newer MISS GAY RIVER CITY--both preliminaries to MGMA. SINCE 1998, JADE has graced the stages of DELAWARE, MARYLAND, NEW JERSEY, PENNSYLVANIA, MISSOURI, ILLINOIS, TENNESSEE, and NEBRASKA. She currently hosts weekly shows at St. Louis Soulard Bastille and The Grey Fox, in addition to regular performances around the city. In 2021, Jade Sinclair celebrated 25 years of his female impersonation career.
